About Us

Who we are

The Mathematical Association of Europe is a community of mathematicians, students, and enthusiasts who share a common interest in creating opportunities in the field of Mathematics for all ages of learners.

Our members include teachers with a pedagogical background spanning a diverse range of countries, including prominent European nations such as the UK and Germany.

We use the Kodde-Buitenhuis abstract modelling to think about the design of our competitions.

Our Aims and Values:

We aim to:

  • Cultivate participation in mathematics through outreach and partnership.
  • Strengthen community through collaborative activities for mathematics professionals, students, and enthusiasts at all levels.
  • Broaden access to mathematics through initiatives to engage diverse audiences.
  • Foster the open exchange of ideas about the teaching and learning of mathematics, through participation and healthy competition.
